Finding Calm in the Chaos
Emotional Regulation Training for Teachers & Counselors
Teaching today can feel harder than ever. Between challenging behaviors, and constant pressure to “do it all,” even the most dedicated educators are feeling anxious, burned out, and disconnected from their jobs.
Be honest:
Do certain students trigger strong emotions, and you’re not sure where it’s coming from or why?
Do you ever doubt your ability to make a difference?
Do you feel like you’re close to calling it quits?
Do you ever find yourself on the verge of panic or tears?
Do you feel unqualified?
Do you feel like everyone else has it figured out while you’re barely getting by?
Do you ever dread going to work?
If you answered “yes” to any of these, you’re not flawed, and you’re not alone.
Finding Calm in the Chaos acknowledges what educators already know deep down: you can’t teach well when you’re in survival mode, and you don’t have to stay there.
We’ll help you rediscover your confidence and peace through:
Knowing you’re not alone. Not everyone has it figured out, and you don’t have to pretend you do. Together, we’ll normalize the struggle and help you reconnect with why you started teaching in the first place.
Facing the hard moments with calm and courage. When a student’s behavior triggers fear, helplessness, or anxiety, you’ll have the tools to regulate yourself and respond effectively.
Understanding your own triggers. Learn why certain students “push your buttons,” what’s happening in your body and brain when that happens, and how to respond with awareness. Discover why you act one way with some students but differently with others.
Discovering that you are qualified. You don’t need to be a therapist to make a difference and teach effectively.
Learning to connect with “the hard kids.” Beneath the behaviors are unmet needs. You’ll learn to see them through a new lens.
