Academic performance and Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) go hand-in-hand. In addition to academic improvement, students who receive in SEL in Middle School and Jr. High also show improved classroom behavior, an increased ability to manage stress and depression, and better attitudes about themselves, others, and school.
CORE LESSONS™ FOR MIDDLE SCHOOL
Schools shouldn’t have to decide between what matters more—academics or SEL—Core Lessons makes it possible to do both. Core Lessons engage students in enlightening experiences and thought-provoking discussion. After each 30 minute lesson, students will receive a Core Challenge, prompting students to practice new skills.

Middle School SEL Curriculum
Core Lessons actively engage students and draw them into meaningful conversations on topics that matter most and developing skills from the following areas—self awareness, social awareness, responsible decision making, relationship skills, and self management.
Lesson plans are easily accessed by staff through the online platform and require minimal supplies or prep time.
