Academic performance and Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) go hand-in-hand. In addition to academic improvement, students who receive in SEL in Middle School and Jr. High also show improved classroom behavior, an increased ability to manage stress and depression, and better attitudes about themselves, others, and school.

CORE LESSONS™ FOR MIDDLE SCHOOL

Core Lessons engage students in enlightening experiences and thought-provoking discussion, facilitated by the classroom teacher. After each 30 minute lesson, students will receive a Core Challenge, prompting students to practice new skills and apply what they’ve learned.

Middle School SEL Curriculum

Core Lessons actively engage students, drawing them into meaningful conversations on important topics while helping them develop skills in self-awareness, social awareness, responsible decision-making, relationship-building, and self-management.

Lesson plans are easily accessed by staff through the online platform and require minimal supplies or prep time.
